Effective this year, the Philippine Air Force has organized seven (7) Air Force Wings Reserve (AFWR) that will be the reporting units for all Air Force reserve personnel in the country. In the National Capital Region, all Air Force reservists are supposed to be under the 1st Air Force Wing Reserve based at Villamor Air Base.
1AFWR is in the process of strengthening each of the three (3) Air Force Groups Reserve under its command. Because of this, all PAF reservists in Metro Manila are advised to indicate their desire to be listed officially in the unit roster, so that they can be issued appropriate enlistment orders, designations, and eventually the identification cards that are given to ready reserve personnel. Every Saturday, the wing's personnel and operations offices are manned by personnel who can assist reservists in the registration process. To facilitate the process, please bring your enlistment or commission orders when you report, and be ready to fill up some forms that will be part of your files.
More information can be obtained by calling 1AFWR operations at 330-9896 or 566-0217. Our textline is 0929-823-0994.
